hello from baby land...

just checking in with a few photos from my iphone.

(a couple of days after having charlotte, my husband came home with an iphone for me.  purple case and all :o)
i was really skeptical about getting one. i told him it was too expensive..i didn't really need it...i didn't want to be wasting my time on it...and so on.
but, honestly it is one of my most favorite things that i own now.)

charlotte with her mama.

those toes in her hot pink heart pants picked out by her big sister melt my heart.

her first sunday to church.
i adore this little dress my cousin brittani picked up for charlotte while she was in italy this summer.

this little hat used to be mine when i was a baby.
i can hardly contain myself when she is wearing it.

i know that she is much too brand new to smile...
but i am convinced that she really does!
when i tell people...i can tell they don't believe me.

she only does it when she is wide awake, perfectly content, and her mama talks to her.
i happened to catch it on my phone camera.

what do you guys think?
is it a real smile?

It looks real to me! What a cute baby! (By the way, I have been following your blog FOREVER now, but I never comment. Hope you don't think I'm a blog stalker, but I love your stuff!!!) : )

I refuse to believe that all newborn smiles are 'just gas'. I think it's a real smile! My second little one would do the same thing- he'd be perfectly content and the smile would be a reaction to what I was doing. But of course, everyone tells you it's just gas. I *know* he was smiling at me, just like she is to you! :)

My baby girl started smiling at the hospital when we would talk to her and she's never stopped! I think maybe back then for doctors gas was the case :) but these babies coming this generation are strong spirits fir these last days and are amazing!

Wow, looks like a real smile to me! Adorable. Look at you - brand new baby, you have your hair and makeup done! I wish I would have had my iphone when my girl was a newborn. I learned a photo taking tip - not sure if you already know it - hold down the button to take the photo and release when you are ready, instead of hitting it and hoping to get a non-blurry shot. Best wishes!

My little one is almost one month old and she totally smiles. Since the day she was born. Anyone who has seen it (including the grandmas, usually the hardest to convince) says so too. Last week both my mom and I are sure she laughed! So I know Charlotte is so happy to be with you she is full of smiles. (And good job capturing is on camera; I have yet to be able to do that.) Congrats!!

OMG cute cute baby and You I might add are a lovely lovely mother! So beautiful the two of you! Also speaking as a fellow Iphone user, it is the single most greatest piece of electronics I own. I will never go back to another phone again.

Definitely real! Ok, this is kind of funny, but I just thought of how the name of your blog now needs to be, "Trey Lucy and Charlotte" and I realized you could just shorten it to "TLC"! How cute is that?

(You've probably already thought of that though and you're thinking I'm a weirdo :))

She is beautiful! Congratulations!

definitely a real smile! I don't buy the "it's just gas" thing - I think that was made up by people who never had babies.

I've had my iphone for a year, and I love love love it. I shouldn't have gotten it, because now I can NEVER go back!

Read your post on your pregnancy nausea and I really feel for you. And you've done it three times! :)

I have a 16 month old son and am now in my 10th week of pregnancy with our second child and nausea has been way worse this time, though not as bad as yours. I need to stay horizontal before lunch time. As soon as I am upright(ish) for for than a short while it gets really bad. Weird how it works. Also have a bunch of other issues since I had a paralysis condition as a child and have a colostomy and pain and stuff so I can relate to pregnancy not being all rosy and shiny.

But we're strong and we get through it with the help of the Lord.:)

Hugs & blessings! :)

Awww, what a beautiful smile =) That is just precious! I think babies smile. My little girl just turned one last month. She weighed 2 lbs. when she was born but it still melted my heart when her little mouth would quirk up into a smile! We were sure it was because she knew we were there lovin' on her =) Congrats on the new bundle of joy!
