liam's kitchen

he is our good friend liam who loves to come over and play with lucy's kitchen.

so i came across that little kitchen at goodwill and knew he had to have it for christmas.

i sanded the kitchen because it had a shiny finish.
removed all the knobs.
primed it.
taped off around the burners and sprayed them metallic silver.
sprayed the rest of the kitchen a white gloss.
then sprayed the knobs a fire engine red.

i wanted it to be gender neutral, and i think it turned our pretty darn good!

i hated the bowl that was used as the sink originally.
so i found this plastic bowl at target.

i wanted to get him some dishes that weren't girlie and found these at target as well!

i heard that he loves it!

i have to give a huge thanks to my sister chelsea for helping with the kids while i worked away at this kitchen while she was visiting!

if you haven't given spray painting a try...start with something small...in no time you will be a pro!
your husband will hate it...ah but who cares!

that is amazing! you are also a really amazing thrift-store shopper!

ps our kitchen table is spray-paint flicked all over, and sometime i get the walls a little. my husband defiantly is not a fan, but i love the stuff!

My motto is that every man should learn how to cook. He'll be pro by the time his wife needs a home-cooked meal!
