bear will you marry me?

around here we love to watch BEAR GRYLLS MAN vs. WILD.

trey likes it just as much as we do.

his favorite episode is when bear is in the mexican desert.

bear had caught a snake and needed fluids to stay alive.
Bear pee's into the snake skin, ties the snake off like a balloon, wears it around his neck, and later drinks it to stay alive!!

This year Trey wanted to be Bear Grylls for Halloween.

Here is Trey as Bear Grylls with a pee snake around his neck :o)
(post edit-ok so i posted this post then headed down to do the dishes...while doing the dishes i realized some might think there is really pee in that balloon...its just water :o)

here is the video clip if anyone is interested :o)

you know you are.

That's pretty freaking disgusting (the video). Creative costume though!

Love it! If you wanted him to be truly authentic though he'd have to get naked at least once while trick-or-treating!

Our last name is Grills and during my pregnancy people wanted us to name him Bear!

you were right. I WAS interested in watching that video. Until he took the first swig. And...GAG.

I was thinking that maybe the pee would magically turn into fresh water in the snake skin or something. Like it was a survival trick. Oh, I was so very, very wrong.

That costume is is pretty rad, though.

Came across your blog through Amanda Acker . . .Actually saw this episode and thought I would throw up. Aside from being horribly afraid of snakes, when that pee came out, it looked all mixed with snake innards. Pretty much the grossest thing I have ever seen . . .and I am a vet tech and see a lot of really gross stuff!! Great costume idea, cute kids!

what a cute idea! I'm a boring mom who only does store bought costumes but I'm very impressed with all those clever moms who can make them!

We saw that guy for the first time when we were staying in the hotel. Oh my. it was exciting. I'm totally grossed out by the video. Does he really really really do those things? for real? Anyways, I love that Trey was Bear for Halloween... he's a crazy one :)
