she would be wearing this...
it's a dress made out of vintage hanker chiefs.
it could also be worn as a shirt for a baby around 6 to 9 months i would say.
this dress is making me think i need a baby girl and fast!
it has snaps on one shoulder so it is easy to slip your little darling in and out.
it's is also reversible.
what the heck is my deal with making things reversible?!
you need to make one of these.
so so easy!
just 3 teenie tiny sewn seams.
sew just one shoulder seam about 2 1/2" in.
then sew side seam 3'' below the shoulder on both side seams.
you can do this!
the shoulder seam you left unsewn.
then you are done!
sorry i have been gone so long.
this morning my house was clean and the kids were asleep so i decided to just go for it!
i think i just needed a little break from blogging but i am back baby!

Adorable! I think my baby girl needs one of these asap. You are brilliant!
Time to go to the store for handkerchief...
where did you get your cute handkerchiefs?
Such a simple but stinkin' cute idea!!
Will you be selling these in your shop? How much would you charge? I can't sew AT ALL. Although it does look easy...I just don't think I could do it! Plus, I wouldn't know where to get the handkerchiefs.
Now I know what to do with my little hankies that I've had hangin around. Unfortunately my little girls aren't quite small enough to wear it anymore :( my baby turned 2. Great idea though!!
You make me crazy.
In a good way.
And yes, I think you need a baby girl, too.
;)
Love ya, lady.

Super CUTE! Looks like it would also work as a shirt for a toddler girl (got one of those). I aam just smitten with vintage linens so these hankies are right up my alley.
Cool, another use for vintage hankies and napkins!
oh my gosh I do have a baby girl - and soon two I can't wait to make this!!
Hi,
I was wondering if you could tell me the dimensions of your hankerchief. I would like to make one for me, and would like to know how to enlarge it.

This is gorgeous! So happy I found your blog!
I'm so happy I found your blog. I was able to learn a project fit for my little girl. She loves cute dresses so much. She also loves 18 in doll clothes. Why? She just receive a Christmas present which is a nice 18 inch doll. Clothes and accessories of the doll are the things she's been telling me to buy.
Thanks for sharing!
