the hunger games

Have you read these books!?

If you haven't, get your little buns down to Costco, or Target, or wherever and get a copy.

I have heard they are making a movie.
If any of you know anyone involved in the casting of this movie please send them my way.
Refer them to the picture below:

Me as Katniss :o)

I have asked my husband for my very own hunting bow for Mother's Day.

If any of you are concerned about the fact that I had my 5 year old son take a photo of my with my brothers hunting bow pretending to be a character from a book...

just know I wanted to be a vampire after reading the Twilight series and no permanent damage seems to have been done as far as I can tell.

You would be perfect for the part:) I love those books I just finished them last week. I also can't wait for the third.

I am actually listening to them AGAIN on my iPod right now, as I type this:) We only have to wait until August for the third book. If you like this style of book
The Alliance by Gerald Lund, Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card, and a new series by James Dashner called The Maze Runner fit into this genre and are excellent reads.

I'm joining the crowd to say that the books were fun and am excited for the third! I love your bow pic.

PS I finished bubble skirts for Easter and can't wait to show you pics! They're adorable!

I LOVE these books. I am currently using them in my 9th grade classroom with a bunch of students who are at risk of dropping out and they BEG to read every day! It's awesome. There is a movie coming out this fall as well as the third book. (Can't wait!)

I have also stumbled upon this site:

Oh.my.goodness. You have to listen to Rue's song (from the first book)

Another book you might like is Life As We Knew It by Susan Beth Pfeffer.

I do have to pass on one more book to you... It has touches my heart every time I read or even think of it.

SOLD by Patricia McCormick

I'd love to hear your thoughts on these if you read them.

Hi my name is Connie I found your blog because I was looking for a guitar onesie template. But I had to stop and say hi because first you remind me of my sister, she also loves crafts, sewing & throwing parties. She has a little boy with red hair and a little girl with dirty blond. We both love Twilight & Hunger Games. You should check out her blog I think you guys would be friends.

They are great books. I heard they were making a movie as well. The reason I read the books is because Stephenie Meyers gave it a great review.
