this one is good and easy

get out your glue gun gals!
i have made tons of hairclips(click to learn how to make them) for my little lucy. but i didn't have a great way to display them. i am always rummaging through a little pink tin can that i have them in now, and it is hard to find the one i am looking for. so decided to make a hairclip holder. it really turned out so cute and i am so excited to show you how!

everyone is going to be able to find the supplies for this craft.

i got this wooden already painted cherry at Joann's (they have all different shapes), they also have them at Micheal's. they are in the aisle with all of the wooden craft supplies. i got this ribbon at Joann's as well.

cut the ribbons each about 19 inches long. then make sure to burn the edges or it will fray.

glue with your glue gun the smaller ribbon to the wider ribbon just at the top.

then glue the ribbons to the back of your wooden cherry.

cut a strip of the smaller ribbon the width of the wider ribbon and burn the edges.

cover one side of the smaller ribbon with glue and lay your wider ribbon on top.

fold the smaller ribbon over to give the ribbon a finished look and hold the two ribbons together at the bottom.

glue a very thin ribbon tied into a knot at the very top or your wooden cherry.

get your hair clips out and start organizing them onto your new hair clip holder!

they are so much easier to find this way!

hang it in your little darlin's room!

wasn't that easy? i think it took me about 20 minutes!
i pretty much still think it's christmas and am still in the giving spirit, so i am giving one away!
just leave a comment to let me know you are in! i will have trey or lucy pick a winner out of a hat this weekend, and will announce the winner then!

erin is so lucky to have you so close to her! hey erin, tanya is the best friend to have as a new mom (well i think she's the best anytime, but especially as a new mom) so call her anytime...she thrives off of it!

tanya, you should put my name in the drawing...i never win your crafts, but since i don't know i don't know what i'd do with this one (besides re-gift it) i bet i'll win...

so cute, btw...

totally cute. Our bathroom cupboard is a mess of barrettes and bows and clips... This is genius! (p.s. I still LOVE those clips you made for us ages ago! I saw it in the bag of stuff this morning and wished it matched Abby's jammies... since that's what she's still wearing at 2:30 pm!!)

I've had a hairclip holder on my to-do list forever, and was hoping to have it done by Christmas... yeah, still haven't done it. So please count me in! Your creation would look better than mine anyway. :)
