kiss jars

I got a comment a couple of weeks ago from Rambling Gal asking for a Valentines idea. She has a great blog, and she is from Georgia! There is something about that state that makes me want to visit. Maybe it's the peaches?
So Trey, Lucy, and I came up with these little numbers!
They are kiss jars. They will make great Valentines for our friend and family.

We just took old glass jars and added Hershey Hugs & Kisses.

Then we decorated the outside with scrap booking paper and stickers.
(I got these very cute heart stickers from Michael's with a gift certificate from my sister-in-law Emily. Thanks Toad!)

The lucky person who gets this Valentine will get a whole jar of
"bear hugs"
from Trey and Lucy.
(I made these little notes in photoshop and just printed them onto card stock. If you don't have photoshop just cut out a cute picture and paste it onto card stock with a hand written message.)

The kids filled it with bears (teddy grahams) and hugs (Hershey's hugs).

Lucy & Trey are so creative! I love to see what they come up with. They did these two jars with very little help! Treys is on the right. I love the heart pattern he came up with!
Smart little tiger.

Now go...grab those glass jars out of your recycling bin and make some Valentines!

This is so adorable! I love this idea and how neat the price to make it is near to nothing. Thanks for sharing with me your idea. I so enjoy reading about all your crafts...tell Trey and Lucy they did a great job in helping me come up with some great Valentine gifts.

PS..Have you thought about putting these in your etsy shop for others to buy...Great way for Trey and Lucy to make some money for their piggy banks...just a suggestion...I bought a cute pot holder from one of my bloggy friends who's daughter made one of those loop pot holder...I plan on blogging today about it...check back later to see my post on this...This is why I suggested this to you...I bet they would be thrilled to know someone bought something they made.

That is a great idea..If I had jars. (maybe I will empty my pickle jars) then I would do it with my girls. My oldest loves crafts, I should send her to your house...She would love u! But I think its a great gift for the kids to give to their teachers. P.s...I left you a message on facebook, I am not sure how often you check it so I thought I would let u know....I also got your package, Thank you. My daughter thinks she can have it, I told her she can wear it on Sunday but that was it. And Steph was super stoked, she love it and keeps bugging me about getting it int he mail.

Made one for my parents from the grandkids - used Hugs and 3 different types of Kisses. My dad took the whole jar and hide it in his room. Safe to say he loved it! Thanks for the great idea!
