halloween candy men...

we went on a field trip to the pumpkin patch.

(you can tell from this photo how much lucy adores trey...though she is way too stubborn to ever admit it.)

while we were there, my little lu fell in love with these halloween candy men.
they were too cute!

i let her buy one, and told her we would figure out just how to make them so we could make some at home.

here's what we came up with:

we put the candy in bowls so the kids could create their candy men exactly like they wanted.

the kiddos loved these halloween treats!
these would be great for teachers, kids in your sunday school class, or close friends that will be trick-or-treating at your door!

make them, they are fun!

yay! we are definitely doing this for our trunk or treat . .considering we only have like 10 kids in our branch we won't break the bank!! and i FINALLY figured it out - trey looks like a mini redheaded justin timberlake!! ahhh it's taken me forever to pin point who he reminded me of :) and p.s. we went camping last week and tried the whole pillsbury dough with peanutbutter, choc, marshmallow goodness - total hit! next time we're in oregon i'm checking into the yurt?!! too fun!

Ahhh - I love them! I am so going to do this. Also - that first pic of your kids is AWESOME. I just got a new fancy camera. Well - fancy to me. NikonD40...I am still trying to learn how to use it....How do you get those cool colors in most of the pics of your kids? What setting do you use?

I just did this with my 2 1/2 year old. She loved picking out the candy we used. We already had a ton of candy here at home, so we just dug through that and tweeked your idea, but it was a great one! Thanks for sharing! I love your blog and linked to it from mine.
