i just have to say that i have not had so much fun crafting in a long time!
i was in heaven making these earrings from lace trims.
all you need is:
a bunch of ribbons
lot's of different lace trims
a glue gun
a bunch of ribbons
lot's of different lace trims
a glue gun
and these ball hook earrings
these are sterling silver and work so great for sensitive ears.
1. cut out your lace trim
2. take some pliers and open the ball on your earring. ( i have a tiny little set of 3 jewelry pliers i got at joanns for like $6. they work great!)
3. take the end of your pliers or a pin and make a hole in your lace trim where you will want your lace trim to hang from.
4. put your earring through the hole.
5. close your earring ball to secure the lace.
make two bows out of your ribbon and hot glue them to your lace trim.
that's it!
here are a bunch of lace trims that i cut out.
then i tied a bunch of bows and matched them to trims i thought suited them best.
then went to town making them.
my husband thought i was upstairs cleaning.
but i was really going to town on these babies!
that's how i do it ladies.
i am sneaky.
i took this lace trim...
and turned it into these.
this lace trim...
and turned it into these!
it was so much fun!
this red ribbon reminds me of a picnic.
it's one of my favorites.
the black and white stripped ribbon and the small lace trim rosettes are a little too darling for me to handle!
i thought i would try some black lace trim and was thrilled with how they turned out.
the white ribbon with the black edging fit pefectly with these earrings.
the cream lace with the brown and cream ribbon are so pretty!
these were the first ones i made, and i was so excited with how they turned out!
these dainty little earrings remind me if tiny doilies. i love how they hang on!
do you think i have enough lace trim earrings!?
holy crap what is my husband going to say!!??
make these earrings!
every time i do a project like this i get comments and emails asking if i will put some in my etsy shop and i just never do.
so this time i am actually going to give it a try.
i can't promise to restock them though...i will probably just sell them for a couple of days.
head over to my etsy shop if you have to have some of these earring.
i think we just posted at the same time. oh boy. guess we should both be in bed by now.:)
