ReplyDeletei was there last night and completely forgotted about athe button earrings. so many crafts so little time.
ReplyDeleteLOL NO Joanns here in my country so....but very nice earrings
ReplyDeleteThere is no Joann's where I live. But thankfully there is a Hobby Lobby and sometimes they carry the earring posts.
ReplyDeleteI like to use an industrial strength glue for my earrings but I don't know if it is necessary. Have you ever had your button pop off from the post?
Guess what: I went to Joanns last week to pick out some buttons cause I had ordered posts etc. off etsy and they were SOLD OUT of shank cutters! The lady said, "yeah just recently a bunch of people came in to buy them...it was so weird." Obviously I'm not the only one in my area that reads your blog!
ReplyDeleteI can never find the cute buttons everyone gets from Joann's am I missing something??
ReplyDeleteRoberts Arts and Crafts sells them as well. I just purchased a pack. they even have some smaller packs that are only around $1.39. Now I just need some buttons and cabochons.
ReplyDeleteI love you!!! that was hilarious!!! you can feel your excitment in just your words, and it made my day!!
ReplyDeleteI'm going! I'm going!....and I don't even wear earrings...but you make me want to!!!
ReplyDeleteYep! I'm headed to the store! haha! Thanks!!!
ReplyDeleteDoes the package say if it's sterling silver or surgical ear post? For those who are sensitive. thanks for the update.
ReplyDeleteI'll answer some questions:
ReplyDeleteThey are surgical posts. If you want sterling silver you will have to look online. I have never
I use hot glue and have not had a problem with them popping off.
I have gotten all of my buttons at Joanns. I am so sorry if you can't find them there. They usually always have the little rosettes.
I don't think I tell you often enough but I love your blog and I miss you! Even my husband loves reading your blog!
ReplyDeleteThat's great!!!! Eversince I read your post about how to make those button earrings I've been itching to try it myself. I even lost one of my gold earrings and didn't buy another ones because I'd like to make them myself. Thank you for inspiring all of us homemakers and crafters wanna-be.
