go get 'em tiger
my little brother wesley is headed to the west indies! he will be a missionary there for 2 years. i can't even express how happy i am for him. the last couple of years he really struggled. he wasn't going to church and was just a sad person. less than a year ago he was working on the roof of a second story house. he slipped and fell 2 stories onto the concrete. when i heard i thought the worst. it was really hard for me waiting to hear if he would be ok. we almost lost travis's little sister stephanie just months before. he came out of it with only a broken wrist and some teeth that were knocked loose. it was a miracle. i have seen 2 amazing miracles this year. the fall changed him. he realized what was important to him. he set a goal to go on a mission. he woke up and studied for an hour each morning. he prayed to overcome the things that were holding him back from living a full life.
the change in him is amazing. he is happy. he is so fun to be around. he has been an amazing example to me. we are so excited for him! i promised him that there will be no additions to our little family while he is gone:o) we will see. trey and lucy love him...trey will be almost 6 and lucy almost 4 by the time he gets back. uncle hessey we love you and will miss you!

oh my gosh uncle hessey!! i am so happy for you tanya. what an amazing brother! it seriously takes a big man to own up to his crap and want to do what's right. i applaud him for taking the time to learn the scriptures and better himself. that's a big commitment that most of us wish we were better at. what a great way to prepare yourself, wesley!! good luck to the man!
comment 3...i have to tell you that when i enlarged the family picture isaac went nuts when i scrolled over to you. he started babbling and held his arms out like he was reaching for you! i think he loves you.
that is a great family pict! Horray for Wesley. You'll have to give us update on the blog.
p.s. love the new blog back ground!!
Interesting he didn't ask me to promise the same thing... do you think that it was intentional?
