tie pattern

And the winner is....

Thank you to all who entered!

If you didn't win you should still give these ties a try!

Ok ladies get out those sewing machines your husbands gave you for Christmas! We are about to get some sewin' on! Let's do this!!!

Aren't the ties just so stinkin' cute!?

I had to bribe Trey with an Ironman Popsicle to get him to wear his Sunday shirt when it wasn't Sunday.

Doesn't he look handsome!?

Cut out 2 layers of the tie pattern.

Lay them wrong sides together on top of each other. Pin around the entire tie to hold together. Cut elastic big enough to fit around neck of shirt and pin to the top of tie where marked on the pattern.

Sew between 1/8 and 1/4 inch seam allowance around the entire tie.

And there you have the cutest little tie for your little man.

I made this one reversible! And I am giving it away! (This giveaway is now closed and a winner has been chosen.) Leave a comment to let me know you are in. Trey or Lucy will pick a winner this weekend!

Here is the pattern! Just double click on the tie, it will enlarge picture, file, and print!

Play with the pattern. Make it bigger, longer, shorter.

Happy sewing!

  9. I love your Blog, you are so cute! I have to tell you that my older newhew just loves these, he is 5 and they dont make onesies in his size :) so when I gave my yonger nephews the onsies with them sewn on a few months back the older one got jealous. My sister in-law says that he tries to dress up everyday so that he can wear his "big boy tie"

  11. I want one!! lol...I am going to send this to my mom and she can start sewing!!! I tried to sew once upon a time..sadly my talents do not lie with anything I can do with my hands....or my singing cords....or the left side of my brain...and the right for that matter. But hey, I will repay you in a GREAT converstaion when I come to Oregon..I can keep you entertained for hours..... ;)
